20 years ago I started out as an assistant at this very salon and soon became a stylist. As the salon was developing and growing my role evolved over time and I ultimately joined forces with Mitch on a business and personal level. I’ve always had an entrepreneurial flair; I truly believe it’s in my blood as I’ve been drawn to it my whole life. It coupled with my natural artistic ability was the perfect combination for this business.

Over time I ended up focusing on makeup, both bridal and celebrity, it just came easily for me. Within moments of meeting a client, I’m able to make them feel comfortable and get a very good read on them. Then, I’m able to use my years of experience coupled with my intuition and application techniques to use my makeup to highlight their natural beauty best. I’ve been told this is one of the unique reasons people solicit my services; clients don’t feel like different people when I’m done, they feel like themselves, only better. I went on to style for numerous weddings, events and local publications and my makeup work expanded to the small and big screens where had the pleasure of working with Harrison Ford, Brendan Fraser, Emma Roberts, Maria Bello, Channeing Tatum and Jason Segal. These are just a few of the talented artists that I’ve had the pleasure to work with over the years. Juggling the demands of a busy career, my art, a salon and our family keeps me on my toes and the best shape ever. Even with it all I still manage to stay creative, whether it’s through designing the windows, flowers or selecting the new colors or fabrics for the salon to decorating our home. There’s never a dull moment - ever and I love that.

Over the years I have seen Mitchell John Salon evolve and I could not be more proud of where we’ve been and am very excited about where we are going.

Why I became a stylist:
I needed a creative outlet that would let me showcase my artistic ability and satisfy my desire for people interaction.

What’s your favorite Living Proof Product and Why?
Full hands down. It just plain works. It’s absolutely amazing – I feel like I’ve doubled my hair when I use it. It holds the style well and blows out beautifully.

One trade secret you would share:
Don’t be afraid to mix a little moisturizer and luminizer in with your foundation to create a healthy glow.

When not at the salon, is most likely found:
Taxing one of my kids around!
