I grew up on Cape Cod, spent all my years there until I moved to Boston about eight years ago. I love working as a stylist in the city of Boston, the cliental we have is amazing, the education and quality of work we have and do here at Mitchell John Salon can’t be found anywhere else. As a stylist I didn't want to limit myself to be either a colorist or a stylist, as I really enjoy both. I like to be a part of the whole process from start to finish with my clients.

Why I became a stylist:
I knew I didn't want the "desk job" work life for myself, I knew I wanted to be a hair stylist when I was going through my mind of what I wanted to do with the rest of my life, and knowing that I always loved being in a salon getting my own hair done and how relaxing a fun the environment was for me. I knew it was the right decision the moment I started in the profession.

What’s your favorite Living Proof Product and Why?
My favorite Living Proof product is No Frizz Wave Shaping Cream because I have naturally curly hair which tends to get frizzy with humidity. This product gives me as well as my clients the protection to wear hair straight or curly, it's truly amazing.

One trade secret you would share:
This is for the clients who have oily scalp and feel that they need to shampoo their hair everyday or it will be greasy, and who also complain of dry hair, could train their scalp. Every time you shampoo and massage your scalp it produces more oils, if you learn to stop shampooing it everyday, your scalp will soon slow down the process of the oils releasing from your scalp. If you like the idea of having wet hair to start the styling of your hair, you can still wet down your hair in the shower and use a little conditioner avoiding the roots.
